Strawberry Words is expanding its pool of trusted freelance practitioners to support our growing programme of culturally humble, evidence-based DEI training and consultancy across the UK. We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced trainers and consultants who share our commitment to creating compassionate, equitable, and psychologically safe workplaces.
Please note: This call is to join our freelance pool. It does not guarantee work, but enables us to match you with suitable opportunities as they arise.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from freelancers with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• DEI training
• Anti-racism facilitation
• Cultural humility training
• DEI consultancy including audits, strategy development, and policy review
Essential Experience
You must be an experienced practitioner who can demonstrate either:
• A strong track record of delivering training to groups or organisations, or
• Meaningful experience in delivering consultancy projects in DEI-related fields

Potential Opportunities
Practitioners in our pool may be invited to support:
• One-off training delivery
• Co-facilitation
• Consultancy support (audits, listening exercises, strategy development)
• Train-the-trainer programmes
Practical Requirements
To join the pool, you must:
• Be UK-based
• Be registered as a sole trader
• Be comfortable delivering sessions remotely
• Be willing to travel when required
• Live within two hours of Birmingham
• Ideally be based in or near Birmingham for certain contracts
Day Rates
Typical freelance rates range from ÂŁ500 to ÂŁ750 per day, depending on the nature of the work and level of responsibility.
